AFRO-BRAZILIAN
Brazilian Baroque meets Yoruba craftsmanship
Nestled in the quiet fishing community of Museyo Village, ConchaVilla is an authentic Afro-Brazilian-themed beach and grill house dedicated to providing a unique beach retreat experience for our guests. We began 17 years ago as a private beach residence and have now opened our doors to select guests.
Afro-Brazilian coastal style is a vibrant cultural blend of African traditions and Brazilian seaside culture, with deep roots in regions like Bahia. This distinctive aesthetic is visible across architecture, fashion, religion, and cuisine, creating a rich tapestry of influences.
In coastal cities like Lagos, Nigeria, the descendants of formerly enslaved Afro-Brazilians introduced a unique architectural style. This incorporated Portuguese-Brazilian baroque designs, like intricate floral patterns, curved windows, and arched doorways, with traditional Yoruba craftsmanship.
Afro-Brazilian houses were built for privacy and often featured central courtyards and windows to improve airflow in the coastal climate.

Beach Front
We are right on the peaceful sandy beach, where the gently lapping waves of the Atlantic Ocean tickle your bare feet and soothe away the stress of urban living. Watch as the fishermen bring in the day's catch of fresh seafood or simply sit and commune with nature.
